Why Decorating for the Fall is good for you.
Fall is officially here! It is our absolute favorite season. We plan on creating more than one fall studio look. For the start of this season I decided to create a more traditional Fall look. Bringing the natural elements and colors you would see during this season.
Why the colors?
As a design psychology coach, I know the importance colors have on our wellbeing. Mimicking the colors nature provides us with during Fall brings great value to you and your home.
Warm tones of reds, yellows and oranges actually bring energy to you and your space. As the weather changes from warmer to cooler, some people get sad, so much so that they can actually suffer from Seasonal Depression. However, Mother Nature blesses us with her warm tones and colors to send us a boost of energy as we progress into the winter.
Surrounding your home with red, yellows, and oranges during the cooler seasons will help your mind feel energized and excited to continue the rest of the year.
These colors might be the reason why people get really excited when Fall arrives.
Function of the Style
Functioning with your style to create a warm and cozy fall feel indoors. I wanted to create a Modern Moroccan/Farmhouse look. Bringing my two favorite home styles into one look! I used the Moroccan Print (which you can get as a freebie) as the main inspiration to create this look. The doors of the print matched perfectly with the basket I got from Michael’s. All of my Fall items are actually from Michael’s.
I always like bringing Mother Nature in doors. The pampas grass you see on the floating shelf is actually from outside. I pulled over on the side of the road to get these beauties. I also love decorating the coffee table with fresh flowers I got from Trader Joe’s. This fall floral boutique had all the beautiful warm fall colors. I loved sitting on the couch and just look at them, it truly gets be excited to create more looks!
And there you have it! Reason why decorating your for the Fall is actually good for you! I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know down below if you already started decorating for Fall.
