NYC is the central hub of small interior spaces. Having grown up in the metropolitan area I have learned a few tricks to transform any size room to a sanctuary. Today we are transforming your space into a magical Moroccan oasis.

Colors

Morocco is known for it’s vibrant colors which you can find in the many souks. A color you will commonly see is salmon pink. A warm tone of pink on the street walls. This a perfect color to add to your space. Any vibrant color will do. You can paint an accent wall, or just do what I did and add bright pillows and prints.

Artwork

Art can be found all over Morocco. From the textiles design to the tiles. Arabesque art is to be seen everywhere. I suggest getting a print of the beautiful land or just creating your own art to replicate the looks. Either way adding artwork is a must.

Textures

You can be sure to find tons of textures in this beautiful country. They are known for their infamous rugs. If you can’t afford an authentic Moroccan rug you can find cheaper alternatives online. White base color for a throw is a good tip to make the room seem brighter. Adding accents like pillows and throws are great.

Greenery

Tropical plants can be found scattered around the beautiful Moroccan spaces. Adding greenery with height, real or faux can make your space seem larger.
