5 tips-How to Create the Perfect Staycation
When all else fails, take a Staycation.
Summer is near and you know what that means Staycation! Haha. I know most people would love to go to an actual destination for vacation but sometimes you get busy with life. That doesn’t mean you can’t still relax this summer.
My goal with Karama is to help you create a life that already feels like you are on a vacation. So put your phone on airplane mode and dive into these fun tips!
1 ) Choose a Perfect Spot
Choose a space that you don’t mind spending hours to kick back and relax. I prefer to be by the window to see the birds flying and feel the cool breeze.
2) Add Nature
Flowers and plants have great benefits on one’s well being. “Studies have proven that house plants improve concentration and productivity (by up to 15%), reduce stress levels, and boost your mood. “ I love having large plants in my space. It makes me feel like I am on a secret island.
3) Add Soft Textures
Touch is one of our most used senses. Adding soft textures can instantly calm you. I love to have throw pillows and soft velvet cashmere blankets on the couch. Almost every person who has sat on this couch took a nap!
4) Add Aromatherapy
This is my favorite tip! I am a huge fan of aromatherapy. Every time I feel a little off I instantly burn a candle. “Aromatherapy candles can help you relax, feel calm, energized and help your brain get into a more productive mindset.” With all these benefits how can you not be tempted to make your space smell heavenly.
5) Do something you love
Staycations are all about relaxation. This is your chance to spend hours doing what you love and not worry about anything. Your mental wellbeing is priority during a staycation. You love to read, draw, watch movies, flip through magazines ? Well this is your chance to just do it.
